The Strangest Dream (click image to enlarge)
Situated on the OH Ranch in Alberta lies a dam, locally known as Car Lake. Created to stop flooding on the valley floor, the dam evolved from a wall of vintage 1950s cars, that were creatively plugged into the hillside, and allowed nature to take its course over time with weeds, trees, shrubs and other natural growth remedies taking hold.
The exotic colours of those battered cars shone through the rust and erosion and added to the strange mix of historical artifact and nature.
Opposite this 'Lake' was a crown of trees, dominating the skyline, which strangely enough, added to the oddity of this days place and understanding. The nature of colours used in this print are an amalgamation of experiences and imaginings of that day.
