Seahorse

From a collaborative student project.

This project was a collaboration for a series of signage illustrations for a marine centre in Aldamar, Spain.

In this piece, traditional approaches to block printing, I explored a variety

of techniques to achieve soft, faded colours as well as bold, flat

areas of pigment.
Here the sun evokes Aldamar’s warmth on Spain’s northern coast, while the undulating green forms hint at the region’s mountains and the rolling movement of the sea, blending landscape and imagination into a single, graphic composition.
