The full moon seen through the woods and across a frozen lake seemed apt for what happened that evening...
Driving through the rural backroads of Southern Alberta one November evening, I caught sight of a lone wolf standing still, staring at me, blocking my path. I stopped and watched for a couple of minutes, before he trotted off, disappearing into the woods. It was a mesmerising and somewhat surreal experience.
The print depicts that illuminated night in the cold backroads of rural Alberta, the frozen lake and the dense woods where so many animals hide and keep watch.
