Western Landscapes

Western Landscapes was created for the Artist’s Ranch Project as part of the Calgary Stampede & Exhibition Showcase.

These prints are inspired by time I spent visiting working ranches in southern Alberta, where the vast prairie, open skies and distant foothills shape both the land and the people who live within it. The beauty of this landscape—at once expansive, quiet and powerful—forms the foundation of this series.

Life on the ranch is defined by extremes: solitude, changing weather and the constant pull of the wilderness. These experiences bring a heightened awareness of nature’s presence—its beauty, its unpredictability and its raw power. Through these prints, I have tried to capture something of that atmosphere and the emotions that arise from living and working so closely with the land.
